“There’s more than one way to do country,” says Alex Smith. “Mine was born in Louisiana—same as me.” From the bayou to the big city, Smith is bringing the best of the Pelican State’s musical stylings to modern Nashville.
His sound fuses slide guitars and swamp grooves with impeccable pop hooks and lyrics that hit straight to the heart. Produced for years by Dolly Parton’s ace-in-the-hole, Kent Wells, and boasting Billboard Top 100 credentials, it’s no wonder Nashville Music Guide called him “what country music needs right now.”
Smith has toured alongside acts like Brett Eldredge, Uncle Kracker, and Dolly Parton, earning millions of streams across platforms. With a highly anticipated slate of releases on the horizon, there’s never been a better time to be a country music fan—or an Alex Smith fan.
