Andrea Guess, a native of Brownsville, Kentucky, began molding her own musical style in her youth.
She learned to write and play while singing around the house with her mother, just as they still do today. From composing her first piano sonata at age seven to performing on the modern-day stages of Nashville, TN, music has run through her veins for a lifetime.
Winning top honors in talent shows and performing solo in Christmas programs as a child cultivated a deep desire to be on stage. In 2005, while still in high school, Andrea joined 1030 Records, a local indie label, and began recording her debut album, Mama Raised Me Right, on which she performed most of the instrumental parts. From there, she played stages across Kentucky, opening for artists ranging from Jeff Bates to Ted Nugent.
Most notably, she worked as an on-air personality under the name Gracie McGee for WLYE. Ultimately, Andrea’s true passion called her back, and in 2018, she left radio to pursue music full-time—playing over 230 shows that year across Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia.
She continues to be a steady force in the music community, lending her powerhouse vocals to stages across the U.S. As a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, she remains in high demand. In spring 2024, Andrea partnered with CCB Nashville and producer Kimo Forrest (Alabama, Cash Creek) and released her debut single, Why Now, in September 2024.
