Austin H.’s Hat: G18

When going to college, I never would’ve thought that I would add a second major of Hospitality Management & Tourism. The University of Kentucky was such a special place to me and gave me all the best resources to acquire a degree. Upon graduation, I moved to Nashville in hopes of finding a job in the restaurant business. I was a young, fresh out of college kid that was taken a chance on in September of 2022. I acquired my first big-boy job as a Restaurant Supervisor at Ole Red Nashville. After 9 months in my supervisor role, I was promoted to a Restaurant Manager at ORN where I currently head the Host Department and the Training Department of our venue. I wore this hat so much in my collegiate career, and that adds to the value of what it means for me to have graduated from UK and to have found a career here within Ryman and at Ole Red Nashville.
