Isabella M.’s Hat: F1

This is my brother’s hat. He is one of my favorite people. We have each other’s back always and still annoy each other daily. When I was talking to him about a hat to send in, he told me that this one meant the world to him. He was a Covid graduate and didn’t get to see his friends for the last three months of school. I saw how that affected him and how sad he was missing out on so many high school experiences. That summer, him and his friends went out to Vermont for the first time to celebrate together, and he said he had the best time out there. He solidified lifelong friendships with his buddies and even made new friends. They swam in the lake and had bonfires every night. He said he wore that hat the whole trip, and that even now when he wears it, they all talk about how great it was. He said that trip was the first normal thing after Covid and he had the time of his life. This hat reminds him of that happiness, and “that might not mean much to you, but it does to me.”
