Our hat is from a Tucson hockey game and is a piece of our love story! My now-husband and I have always loved local hockey. In 2019, we attended a game, where he yelled and heckled as usual. After the 1st period, an official approached and said there had been complaints, warning him to settle down. I was horrified, but he kept yelling through the 2nd period! During the 3rd period, the same official approached, and I thought I knew what was coming. He said, “Sir, I need you to come with me.” My soon-to-be-fiancé said, “There’s one thing I have to do first.” He pulled a beautiful ring out and shocked me with a heartfelt proposal. I slowly realized that it was all a set-up. (He still teases me about how long it took to say yes!) Our hat was a gift from the manager who helped with the scheme and is a reminder of a very special day.
P. S. A few years later on our wedding day, we continued the love story by jumping in a pool in our wedding attire, inspired by the “Forever After All” video.
