My dad and uncle started a welding shop when they were in high school in 1984. They learned everything they could from their grandfather who farmed and taught them how to build/fix things with their hands. Their dad worked in the printing industry and was gone a lot. They worked every day and night and put everything they had into starting the shop, doing repairs and building trailers. Since then, it has grown into two locations with 30 hired hands and is considered to be one of the country’s premier truck-upfitting shops, doing custom work and various types of welding/fab work on new trucks, as well as still doing the things they did when they first started. I work here now with my brother and my cousin, and the five of us all work together every day in the family business. The Higgs hats that I get to wear mean everything to me, because when I wear it, people know what it stands for. We all love Luke’s music, as most of it all relates to things we’ve been through or stand for
