Space Radio is a Nashville-based band made up of Gabrielle Vaughn on vocals, McMillin on guitar and vocals, Sam Rivera on drums, keys, and vocals, and Laurence Freeman on bass and vocals — each member contributing to a tight, versatile live sound.
The group met while studying at Belmont University and began performing together in 2023, starting the band with the goal of bringing more creativity and versatility to Nashville’s Broadway scene. Collectively, the members bring experience from national tours, corporate events, private functions, cruise ships, theme parks, and established venues across the country.
Their performance history includes appearances at venues such as Moonshine Flats, along with private events for major corporations and universities. As an individual artist, Gabrielle Vaughn has shared the stage with Kevin Bacon and Kathy Sledge of Sister Sledge.
McMillin and Laurence Freeman have performed alongside Jelly Roll at the opening of his Nashville bar. Original music from Gabrielle Vaughn and McMillin has also been featured by the Academy of Country Music, included on Live Nation’s “Ones to Watch” playlist, and placed across Apple Music editorials.
In addition to touring, Space Radio holds residencies at Category 10 by Luke Combs, Ole Red by Blake Shelton, and multiple Tin Roof locations across the United States. The band performs a mix of country, rock, grunge, pop-punk, R&B, pop, and top 40, adapting their set to a wide range of audiences and venues.
