Growing up outside of Chicago, Darren Jeffers, also known as Dirty Darren, developed a deep love for music.
He was exposed to various genres, from Motown, country, and rock ballads, thanks to his mother’s influence, to the sounds of Chicago house and hip-hop on the radio. This early exposure inspired him to pursue a career in DJing at the age of 13.
Darren honed his skills by DJing at local school dances and weddings during his teenage years, learning to read the crowd and keep the energy alive on the dance floor. Years later, Darren became a prominent figure in the Chicago nightlife scene, performing at top venues such Astao, Prysm, Tunnel, Bottled Blonde, El Hefe, and Rocbar.
As an open format DJ, he delivered eclectic and electrifying sets all over the city, from tourist-filled Wrigleyville to trendy River North and even provided the official Chicago bulls pregame entertainment for 5 seasons in the near west side neighborhood. Expanding his reach, Darren started taking gigs in other cities such as New York City, Miami, Boston, Scottsdale, Milwaukee, Anaheim, and Cleveland. In 2021, Darren made the move to Nashville, where he grabbed exciting opportunities, including DJing for the CBS special “New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash of 2022,” watched by 5.2 million viewers. Since then, he has performed at official after parties for bad bunny, 50 cent, and the backstreet boys.
Additionally, he has ventured into music production by teaming up with DJ Rod Youree to form the duo BRDWY Music, focusing on creating edits and remixes of country songs suitable for high-energy sets. These edits have been widely downloaded and played by DJs across the USA and Canada. Darren’s passion for music and his ability to adapt to any audience have made him one of the most sought-after DJs in the country. He continues to evolve his sets, pushing the boundaries of music and art while ensuring a consistently energetic and dynamic dance floor
