Growing up just outside Chicago, Darren Jeffers—better known as “Dirty Darren”—developed a deep love for music. Influenced by his mother, he was exposed to a wide range of genres, from Motown, country, and rock ballads to Chicago house and hip-hop. This early musical foundation led him to pursue DJing at just 13 years old.
As a teenager, Darren honed his skills at school dances and weddings, mastering the art of reading a crowd and keeping the energy alive on the dance floor. He soon became a prominent figure in Chicago’s nightlife, performing at top venues such as Tao, Prysm, Tunnel, Bottled Blonde, El Hefe, and RocBar. Known for his eclectic, high-energy sets, he brought his open-format style to every corner of the city, from the tourist-packed bars of Wrigleyville to the upscale clubs of River North. He also provided the official pregame entertainment for the Chicago Bulls for five seasons.
Expanding his reach, Darren took his talents nationwide, performing in cities like New York, Miami, Boston, Scottsdale, Milwaukee, Anaheim, and Cleveland. In 2021, he relocated to Nashville, where he landed major opportunities, including DJing for the CBS special New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash 2022, which reached 5.2 million viewers. Since then, he has played official after-parties for Bad Bunny, 50 Cent, and the Backstreet Boys.
Beyond the DJ booth, Darren has ventured into music production, teaming up with DJ Rod Youree to form the duo BRDWY Music, specializing in high-energy remixes and edits of country songs. Their tracks have been widely downloaded and played by DJs across the U.S. and Canada.
Darren’s passion for music and ability to connect with any audience have made him one of the most sought-after DJs in the country. Whether in the studio or on stage, he continues to push musical boundaries, delivering electrifying performances that keep dance floors moving.
